Falling in Love with the same person over again!

I fall in love many times. So many times... "so I thought" but always with a different guy. And so what is love? If you think you just fall in love, think again. In my context, I think love is falling in love with the same person over and over again and yet still feels the same. Refreshing and Nice.

I never had this feeling before but I just recently felt so strongly about this phrase of falling in love with the same person over and over again and the feeling does not differs. There is a point of time in any relationship whether you are married or just dating where things just became mundane and instead of trying to give sweet surprises to each other, both just take it for granted that your partner will be there. And yes, every relationship has the same phase. Mine too.

I felt it so strongly that mine relationship has come to a stand still and was becoming really depressed because I don't want it to be. I don't want the love I share with Jos to come to a stand still. Not all believe in happily ever after, and maybe there is no happily ever after but I am still hoping it will be for me and Jos.

So, I gave a surprise call to Jos early his morning yesterday to just wake him up and hear his voice because I am crazily missing him! He receive my call with so much passion. I cannot explain this in words but I know at that point... I just fall in love with him once again. Its an amazing feeling when I start blushing, smiling to myself the whole time for the rest of the day. This is love, falling in love again. We have been together since Dec 2009... and still the same feeling of gushing passion... I think its unbelievable!

You just know you fall in love when:

- The feeling love remains strong

- The skipping of a heartbeat phase is still there

- The blushing of the face the moment you thought about him.

- The things you do with him some months back still bring a smile on your face.

- The fight you have brings all the regrets.

- And you just wanna be holding him tight right now and never let him go.

And imagine having the above feeling over and over again with the same guy! Total bliss I think!

I love this post because it opens my thoughts and I find this so so true!

P.S. Till death do us part... but not so soon please! :D

I am back from Dordrecht!

Was back in the Netherlands for a 10 days visit to the love of my life and also spend some time with my sister who decide to meet me in Amsterdam for a short while.

Sis & Me - Holland & Its Charm!

Its been really good to be able to hang out with my sister after not seeing her for almost 6 months. Gosh... I am already missing her. This trip to Holland actually allows me to be alot more independent and see alot more things than those other visit I had. I was force to be in Amsterdam town because my sister lives in the hotel in Amsterdam near the Schipol Airport. So for 3 days, I travelled by train from Dordrecht to Amsterdam Town and its slighting more than 1 hour! which to me is kinda a very good experience. Train rides are really quite fun but painfully expensive! EUR32.00 for a return ticket which is equivalent to SGD64.00 to and fro! God damn expensive la.

Jess Loves Train Rides!

After just two rides on the train... I became alot more confident and even went on trams rides. Sis said to hire a taxi and before she knows it, I was holding her hand hopping on to a tram! EUR5.20 for both of us for a 10mins ride on a taxi which would cost us EUR15 per ride. So we save some Euros there! I am so brilliant! haha

Jess Loves Tram Rides... Save me Euros! :)

So yes, I have lotsa adventures on my own without Jos' protection. Although on some days he travel from Rotterdam to Amsterdam just to pick me up from my little adventure but that didn't stop me from feeling good about being able to return home safe on days I was left to return to Dordrecht on my own. I am quite proud of myself because I am quite a scardy cat!

Besides my little adventures on train and trams rides, my sister and I did many things together and on one day with Jos as a tour guide. We visited Volendam which is a town in North Holland. Its an old fishing village that is now turn to a tourist spots with souvenirs shops and some pub restaurants aeatery to hang out. Really nice place to be. Check out the pictures, you will agree its beauty!

Next we went to Zaanse Schans a beautiful place with lotsa of windmills. This time of the year is the best time to visit Holland because of its awesome weather and flowers everywhere!

We have also visited loads of other places like the Scherving in Den Haag and the Rijks and Van Gogh museum. Totally awesome which I will eleaborate more in my next post.

P.S. Next Stop.... Italy and France! Hearts!!!

Summer Holiday - Itinery Planning 1 (Verona, Italy) - PART 1

I was not thinking much about the summer holiday Jos had planned for us which will happen sometime in July. I wasn't thinking about it at all, I wasn't excited about it also, and wasn't looking forward to it. I was just thinking of Jos all these time not being with him and that alone can sometimes bring alot of negative thoughts. So my love the well-known GMJ gave me a good lecturing sometime early this week. He asked if I was even looking forward to our July holiday? He asked if I have googled on what we were going to do in the cities we planned to visit? To be honest, I didn't even know at that point I was visiting Verona, Venice, Rome & Florence in Italy! Until he reveal to me and send me links on these places we were intending to visit. And then flashes back of what I know about Italy came back into my mind. I remember watching Letters to Juliet and the cast was based on Verona! I wanna visit Juliet's Balcony! I wanna go Verona! This is the place where Romeo & Juliet exist! (Of course.. its only a myth!)

So with that great lecture... I've been googling over the past few days only on Verona and what I hope to see and I realise 3 weeks might not be enough ! Italy is such a romantic place, be it day or night. Let me now go through the places that I've so far googled and the information I gotten on hand.

Ponte Scaligero, Verona Italy.

Ponte Scaligero, Verona Italy

And at Night! Its even more Lovely!

This is probably one of the most photographed bridges in Verona, but unfortunately it is not authentic. The original one was blown up by the Germans during the last World War, and it was reconstructed in the 1950s. It consists of a strong brick structure with three arches of decreasing width, resting on crenelated towers. The date of construction is unclear, but it was probably built between 1375 and 1376. The bridge formed part of the complicated defense structure for the Castelvecchio, and linked the city with the road leading to the Tyrol.

Romeo! Romeo! Wherefore art thou? Romeo?

Juliet's Balcony

Love Notes from Tourist

This is like a dream cruelly crashed for me when I read more on the review of Juliet's Balcony. It is not as romantic as what it's potrait in the movie - Letter's to Juliet. Apparently. it was said that if you would like to see a pleasant old building then visit this 13th century house in Verona Italy but if you want to see the balcony of Romeo and Juliet then Verona is not the place.

The balcony in Shakespeare’s play doesn’t exist and anyway Shakespeare’s stage instructions called for a window scene and not, as commonly believed, a balcony scene. Verona Italy has so many wonderful architectural attractions that this should be way down the sightseeing list. This is not the most beautiful balcony in the world by any stretch of the imagination – for an idea of just how ugly it is take a look at the photo below. It was also mentioned that this is a tourist trap. The house has nothing to do with the fictional characters in Shakespeare’s play and, from what I understand, the balcony was only added in the 1930s.

So yes.... maybe the Juliet's Balcony will be push to the last if we have time to visit.

Next.... Torre Del Lamberti!

In the middle of Piazza Erbe, on the corner towards la Costa, stands the slim Tower of the City, or Lamberti Tower. Apparently construction of the tower began in 1172. In May 1403 lightening struck the tower and knocked off its top. Some time later, it was decided to restore and raise the tower higher. The restoration lasted from 1448 to 1463-1464.

Two bells were placed on the tower, the smallest of which was to signal fires and the largest of which was to call a meeting of the city council and to call the citizens to arms to defend the city. The two bells have been fused several times, and still Conserve their ancient names of Marangona and Rengo. The tower is 84 meters high; the clock was added only in 1779. It has been said that the tower “is a stem of light, that elevates its solemnity to assert the most shrill of songs to the beauty and life of a Verona gathered beneath its maternal protection.

OK I shall end this part of Verona for now... as I am now rushing out for dinner. Will be back with a loads more! Be right back!

P.S. 12 more days to my love! Miss u !! xx

Conversation Starters

I was walking around Tampines Mall and went into this shop - Kikki.K

The exterior of the shop just draws my attention and I decide to walk in. They sells stationary and unique gifts of scandinavian design. Hmmm... but I kinda find their pricing abit off since we are talking about stationary here, we do not wanna pay 100% more when we are really buying a mechanical pencil of which they are selling almost SGD10.00 where we can easily get SGD4.00 from Popular Bookstore. So yes... its pricey. But then, unless its a something special or something that is not commonly found, we may wanna pay alittle more since we may not get it elsewhere. So.... I came across this little red box that says : LOVE CONVERSATION STARTER. And yes, I bought it... it cost me SGD19.00 but I really find it quite interesting and maybe useful for awkward situation when both are drained and cannot think of anything else to talk about.

Maybe some people may deny the fact that they have nothing to talk about with their partners. They may even claim that their love life with their partner are always interesting, things to do, talk about everything under the sun.... i'm in love with my bestfriend etc etc. But the truth fact is, we are all human beings and human beings gets drained and even with your best friend sometimes we are just lost of words and then silence is the best cure. Enjoying each other's company and not saying a word! that's bliss I think... that is nice.

But here I just bougth a Conversation starter! Not that I have nothing to talk to Jos about, but I just find this really interesting because, some questions are just not what you would ask or even think about! It just kick a conversation and gets to know each other better

A few example of the question normally asked... What I wouldn't leave the house without, the golden rule of flirting etc... its interesting really some of the question and I particularly like these few:

Q: The first thing I would purchase if I won the lottery
A: An Air-ticket to Amsterdam! hahaha so lame! yes that's all I ever wished for!

Q: My advice to a friend that wants to find love is......
A: Fuck I don't know because it just happen! Love comes to you... you don't find love! Agree?

Q: I love the smell of.....
A: Jos in the morning! :D

So yes... interesting isnt it? I mean some question could be lame but we can laugh it off! I am so going to try this and will update when I did!

P.S. 12 Days to Avril and 15 days to U! Hearts!!!

And Ta-da!!!!

The cutest & biggest mosquitos ever!

Mug is male cat.. almost 3 years old. Fit and super active! I've met him in Oct 2010 in the 2nd storey of a house in a little town named, Dordrecht in Holland. While I've come in contacts with dogs of all kinds, big and small, and I reckon I handle dogs pretty well because you just know what they are up to and canine are man's bestfriend! So handling a dog, even a german shepherd, me have no problem!

But when I was introduced to Mug for the first time... the first thought that really came into my mind was: "Oh Damn, I haven't really have much contact with a cat! What do I do now?"
(P.S. Jos didn't know about my thought of course!haha =))

But nothing to fear! I told myself... animals are just god's creature for human for companion. Moreover, I am an animal person, animal loves me... I can handle them! No worries at all... Mug will love me too.

So... me and Mug made friend. It wasn't really stressful even from the beginning as with cat character being cool and aloof, many times I wished Mug would snug with me on the couch like how Oreo would! (Oreo is my Yorkie) He hardly does that until one day! This is just taken recently! And we have obviously gotten closer and begin to appreciate what I does for him, like opening the door to a German Shepherd! haha. Anyway... He is such a sweet-thing! And I bet Jos is totally jealous when he sees this!

Now back to the beginning... since I had to live with Mug for a few days, I had to know his likes, dislikes etc. Before Jos leaves the house, he would already have put enough food on Mug's food tray for the day. So I don't really have to worry about food for him. But I have seen Jos opening the balcony door umpteen times to let Mug out so he could roam around like all cat does. Therefore I know, each time Mug seat near the door or meow at the door, I have to open the door for him!

Open the Door - Meow!

And I did... and I have no problem doing that. In fact, I enjoy each time he asked to go out and I'd open the door for him. Not such a chore lah! The door is 2 steps away from the couch really! But when Jos has to do it too often, like open the door every 5-10mins, he start complaining ... "Oh come on Mug!" And that sight... is quite amusing! haha

As time went by, I begin to love being around Mug. I enjoy staring back at him when he stared at me. And we would locked eyes for half a minute! haha.. its really funny because I really wanted to guess what he is up to next.

The first time Mug jump on me in the middle of the night while I was sleeping was freaking scary, I was all curled up. I didn't want him near me while I was lying down. I felt helpless and defenseless, I won't move an inch just in case he scratch me on my face! And then he would gently stretch out his paws and still gently touch my face. He did it once... he did it twice.. and now, I cannot remember how many time he does it! haha.. now I am beginning to miss Mug.

In Holland, it seems to me, every household has cat or even cats! Some people think that cats are haughty creatures that show little or no affection but cats are really loving and affectionate to their owner and even protective sometimes. I watch Mug snuggling up to Jos all the time. So the myth about cat being haughty are so wrong.

Mug with me stealing some rest...

7 years itch could now be 3 years

I haven't felt well the whole of today. Did anyone realize the weather is really strange? Was all sunny yesterday and raining whole of today! Madness! My throat hurts, my head spins, just feel crappy!

Having said that, I have eaten my medication and should feel drowsy by now. Instead of feeling drowsy, o can't sleep! What's wrong with me? Fml!

Honestly, the truth is I came on my blog was i've been thinking about relationships. Just about mine and people around me. My friends, my mum, my sister and even friend's friend! It send a chill down my spine and I'd thought I should blog about it before the thought just went away.

My Mum & Dad, divorced after more than a decade. Hell for us as children but am actually glad as long as they are happy.

My Eldest Sister, was with a man for more than a decade as well and broke up. Now happily married with my Brother in law who is an American.

Jos' Mum & Dad, also divorce when he was merely 3 yrs old. And now both happily married with another. (Thought: Does finding the right one comes a long way?)

And me... was with my ex for 7 years until the big trial came and we didn't pass that trial. We broke up.

Think about it.. There has always been a saying, about how a relationship of 7 years would normally be put through a big trial and if the couple pass that trial and still stay together, they will survive the next 7 years. This is kinda of a Chinese believe.I look around me and realize, many don't even last 2 years! It's scary.. Don't you think?

And then....I was reading a friend's ex-girlfriend's blog. I don't really know his girlfriend at all but happen to stumbled upon her blog just recently. (ok I am nosy! So be it.) This friend of mine has broke up with this girlfriend for 1 year and a half year. Today, my friend is already engaged to another girl. The thing that really set me thinking is not the break up. Break up can be due to many reasons and some are just not meant to be. However, I just cannot imagine one would break up when they seem so perfectly in love just a year before. And I really mean breaking up suddenly. They seem so perfect on the blog entry day to day... and until one day the entry turn bad and it was straight to the point of break up. Deeply in love before yet it only lasted 3 years.

3 years to me is not a short period of time.. And to break up and almost immediately found another seems cold. I don't mean to blame it on anyone when break up happen but it just send a chill down my spine to realize relationship can indeed be so fragile. How then can one sustain a long term relationship? How then can one sustain a marriage? The thought of all these froze me.. I dont wanna lose Jos and I don't want him to change or love someone else. I cannot imagine that happening. But nothing last forever.. That's just life.

I reckon, now to stay positive is to believe the phrase "as long as we once were, it doesn't matter of it didn't last forever."

P.S. Do we have a choice?
